What this is
Retail handles selling direct to shoppers, especially online: orders flow in from your store, you fulfil and deliver them, take payment, and it all posts to your accounts. Open it from Menu > Retail.
What is inside
- Orders. The retail orders you fulfil.
- Delivery. Shipments out to shoppers.
- Receipts. Payments recorded against orders.
- Customers. Shopper records, created from your online store.
- Settings. Your ECommerce connections and Outlets.
How it fits together
Retail runs its own order pipeline, separate from Sales, but posts to the same Finance accounts. Connect an online store and orders sync in automatically for you to fulfil.
Scope. In-store point-of-sale terminals and cashier sessions are still in development. Retail today is built around online and outlet orders, delivery and receipts.
