Releases

The Service module is here, with a Field app, a new file gallery, and subscriptions by solution

Release notes · 8 September to 18 October 2026

The Service module is released, with a Field app for the people on site and a Planner for the office. Also new: a file gallery with a Bin, subscriptions chosen by solution, and a library of import templates.

The Service module is released

  • Service Orders now have a Work tab, billing and a report
  • Plan and dispatch jobs on the new Planner: drag and drop, crew lanes, availability and each day’s load
  • Orders carry a site, a contact, a planned length, travel time and a deadline, shown on the order, the Planner and the phone. An order needs at least one task before it can be confirmed
  • Work Orders print as a field job sheet, with a bring-along board listing the materials to pick and the assets to take
  • Set up Assets and Asset Categories, Entitlements, Charging profiles, Service Plans and Locations
  • A posted Sales Quotation can become a Service Order, and the order bills from it
  • Tickets can be linked to orders, and unbilled work shows on the dashboard

Learn how: start with the Service overview, then Service Orders and Work Orders. Prefer to watch? There is a nine-lesson video series.

The Service Field app

  • Field staff see today’s jobs, job history, tasks, photos, expenses and visit time on their phone
  • Clock in and out as often as a visit needs, even without a signal. Photos taken offline wait and send themselves
  • A repair that needs no part can be answered “No part needed”, or the part can be chosen on site with its quantity
  • Edit or remove an add-on, and move a photo to the right task
  • The app installs on phones first, and carries your organisation’s name

Files, photos and videos

  • A new attachment gallery: upload several files at once with progress and retry, drag to sort, add a caption (with quick-pick phrases), see each file’s details, and choose Standard, HD or Original photo size
  • Where your organisation allows it, take a photo, video or audio recording on the spot, mark up an image, and record where it was taken
  • Deleted files go to a Bin, where they can be restored. A locked document no longer allows files to be removed
  • Videos and audio play in place on iPhone, so you can still swipe between files. The phone viewer lets you scrub the timeline and remembers your mute setting
  • HEIC photos and videos get thumbnails, and building previews for many files at once no longer slows other pages down

Learn more: see File Attachment in the reference.

Subscriptions chosen by solution

  • Plans are bought as solutions at a tier: Books & e-Invois, Accounting Fullset, Field Service, Service Ticketing, Trade & Stock, Business Pro and Payroll. Single functions can be added on their own
  • The Subscriptions page reads as a clear statement: what you have, what you get, what you will pay and when
  • Changes are drafted first and applied with one Save
  • When you reach a limit, you see how much of it you used and what the next tier costs. Storage limits warn at 80%

Importing your data

  • A library of downloadable templates is now on the porting screen
  • An import either applies completely or not at all, so a failed import never leaves half the records behind
  • Service item types, charging profiles, locations and plans can be exported and imported

Learn how: see the how-to guide for importing and exporting data.

Faster lists

  • Listings count their records more quickly. A very long list shows an approximate count (for example “~12,400”), and you can click it for the exact figure
  • Searching in the tree picker works with the Enter key and shows a spinner while it searches
