Journeys

Last updated: June 20, 2026

A journey is how you actually run your business through Cloudby, end to end. Unlike a single document, a journey almost always crosses several modules, so it lives here, above the module reference, telling you the order things happen and where each step hands off to the next.

Three ways to read this encyclopedia: a Journey shows how to operate end to end; a Module overview shows the entities you work with; a feature page is the deep chapter on one document. Start with a journey when you want the flow, drop into a module or feature when you want the detail.

The journeys

  • Order to Cash – sell it, deliver it, get paid. (Sales · Inventory · Finance)
  • Procure to Pay – buy it, receive it, pay for it. (Purchase · Inventory · Finance)
  • Record to Report – the month-end accounting cycle. (Finance)
  • Hire to Pay – run payroll from setup to payout. (HR · Payroll · Finance)
  • Plan to Produce – turn a recipe into finished stock. (Inventory · Production)
  • Stock In and Out – how goods move, and the ledger that records it. (Inventory · Purchase · Sales)
  • Issue to Resolution – support a customer from ticket to close. (Service)
  • Cart to Cash – fast counter and online selling. (Retail · Inventory · Finance)
